This years inaugral recipients of the Dudley R. Herschbach Award are Professor William H. Miller of University of California at Berkeley and Professor Richard N. Zare of Stanford University.

The 2007 DMC Meeting will see the initiation of the Dudley R. Herschbach Award. This award will be given to two recipients every year, a Theortician and an Experimentalist, thereby reflecting the nature of the DMC meeting. The Award/ Banquet will be held at the Georgia O'Keeffe museum in Santa Fe on Thursday evening.

The recipient of the award will be chosen by a committee consisting of the Chairman, vice Chairman and the previous three Chariman of the DMC meeting.
